The September Edit
Happy September, or as I like to refer to it, Small Business New Year.
Now’s your time to reset, get into rhythms, set up new habits, and tackle big projects with a renewed energy.
I personally am a summer-forever girl, but I do thrive off of a routine and September gives me a reset from the craziness of the back to school hustle and last minute vacations that August brings. I usually find that a lot of other small business owners feel the same way, and we tend to start booking up quickly for the rest of the year as people start getting the time and space to focus on their big picture end of the year goals.
Here’s where we’re finding inspiration this month:
Vintage-Inspired Food Branding & Packaging
Vintage inspired food branding and packaging brings back the lost art of bringing beauty to humble everyday packaging. Think bold typography, exciting color choices, and ornate label artwork.
Joyful Color Schemes
I will be the first to admit I get tired of all the brown and orange in fall. I’m just not sure why we’re drawing all our inspiration from dead foliage, when fall means things like dahlias and state fairs and an abundance of produce everywhere.
Premium print processes
This is top of mind as we finish a label project just a few days ago and had a lot of conversations about how print processes elevate the perceived value of a product. I’m feeling embossing, foil, strategic spot gloss, and creating tactile objects that allow a client to experience your brand through different senses.
